Like many others I’m a bit put out they might be getting shot of 6Music, so I sent in a complaint. As I recommend you do, I mean does anyone still listen to Radio 1 apart from the top 40?

All services are being reviewed at the moment as a part of the BBC wide Strategy Review. The details of the review are currently being considered by the BBC Trust, but at this stage the BBC cannot comment on speculation.

However, we would like to assure you that we’ve registered your complaint on our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback that’s circulated to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers.

The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content.

My complaint is below:

My complaint is not about the station it’s about the fact the BBC may be axing it. 6Music is clearly the most comprehensive music station not muddled by pop music and chart toppers. Instead it provides unique and interesting music broadcasting with talented well rounded presenters, not overblown and overpaid personalities. To lose it would a great loss to the public and the music industry at large.
