I’ve yet to get an iPad, as they are not out on in the UK, but I’ve been thinking about this since they were announced. Fast user profile switching would make sense where the iPad is to be shared in the house, especially if you want to give it to your kids in a locked down mode.

This is the first iPad article I’ve read that asks the biggest question that is on my mind.

The only question is if Apple will allow for multiple users per iPad, or if they’re expecting 1 iPad per person. I have a feeling it’s the latter.

Jeremy Bell expresses the same desire as I have. In the process of setting his iPad up, he realized that his wife and he want to share the device, but not the apps themselves. I’ve been wondering the same thing: how can I make sure all my wife’s various contacts don’t end up emailing my account if we share this device.

The best I can think of at this point is to use different apps for the same functions (example Mail for one of us and the Gmail interface in Safari for the other).
